RVFF 7th Annual Charity Golf Tournament- June 3, 2023
The Roanoke Valley Firefighters Foundation will host its 7th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on June 3, 2023 @ 1pm at the beautiful Roanoke Country Club. This tournament consistently sells out quickly and is limited to 32-2023 golf tournament (2) 4 person teams. Cost per team is $400 , and Hole Sponsorships are available for $125.
Check in begins at 11am, Lunch begins at 1130am and Shotgun start at 1pm. Lunch and beverages will be provided and we will be conducting a raffle along with a Hole in One prize from one of our sponsors.

RVFF-PHILLIPS FAMILY FDIC SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS FOR 2020
The Roanoke Valley Firefighters Foundation is pleased to announce the winners of the Phillips Family Firefighter Training Scholarship. This scholarship awards Full Conference Registration and meal money for 2 individuals to attend the Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC), held annually in Indianapolis, Indiana in April of each year. FDIC is the largest Firefighting Conference in the world, with over 30,000 attendees each year.
This years winners are;
BATTALION CHIEF BRIAN HOLLINS- SALEM FIRE-EMS
CAPTAIN JEREMY HARTMAN-SALEM FIRE-EMS
Winners were selected by Michele McDaniel, whose father Doug was a Battalion Chief with the city of Alexandria, Va Fire Dept. and brother was Captain of Training in the Bonita Springs, Fla. Fire Dept. Both men served for many years in the Fire Service and left their mark on those they served with. The Scholarship is named in their Honor and Memory!

RVFF ANNOUNCES FIREFIGHTER CANCER ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
RVFF-Cancer-Relief On January 1, 2018, the Roanoke Valley Firefighters Foundation began a new program to assist Firefighters from our covered localities, who are undergoing treatment for a cancer diagnosis. The program covers active firefighting personnel, who are in the treatment phase of their cancer diagnosis. ALL cancers are covered, and firefighters may apply one time for some financial relief toward medical or living expenses to the program.
There is a PDF fillable application with guidelines to the program that the foundation can send by email to any personnel requesting assistance. The application and guidelines will be posted up on this website in the near future. Applications can be returned to any RVFF Board member or sent as an attachment to rvff@earthlink.net. All information contained on the application will be kept in the strictest of confidence.
